Down, but Never Out!
Two Summers ago, I hit my rock bottom. A year prior, I had taken a leap of faith upon graduating college a moved 1500 miles away from home to take on a job I hoped would propel me into a career path I was passionate about. Unfortunately, that leap of faith did not yield many positive results for me in my professional life. Those 12 months were filled with stress, anxiety, and new life challenges I had not yet faced. This stress and anxiety consumed so many positive aspects of my life and led me down the path to losing my job. At this point, I had no choice but to move back home and take the first job that I could find. With my career path and professional plans temporarily altered, student loans weighing me down and my physical health starting to take a downturn, I knew I had to find a way to pull myself back up. I no longer wanted to deal with the stress and anxiety I was facing on a daily basis, so I decided to control what I could control. I wanted to find something that could improve my mental and physical health, but I was seriously struggling financially and didn't know what I could do. I tried running, hiking, walking, anything I could to get out and keep moving, but I had trouble clearing my mind and didn't get much out of it. Knowing how much I was struggling, one of my close friends mentioned that they take spinning classes in a local gym and it had helped them a ton both mentally and physically. They took me in for a free trial class and in less than an hour, I was hooked. I knew I couldn't afford that membership, so I dove into research on how I could get that same experience in other ways. That's when I discovered Peloton! In my research, I have seen so many success stories of amazing people bettering their lives with Peloton and was completely inspired with what I could accomplish with the amazing Peloton community behind me. Even when I'm down, I know the community would be with me to help me fight and push forward!
